About

The first time I threw a shuttle across the loom was in college. I was a Fine Arts Major and took a weaving class out of curiosity -- I was hooked. And now after 40 years of weaving I still get a thrill as the pattern emerges on the loom.

After graduating, I worked in children’s book publishing; while weaving in my free time. Then after 20 years in publishing I decided to devote all my time to weaving.

I work on a four-harness loom where I weave one-of-a-kind pieces. I work with a variety of fibers including wool and cotton; but most of my wearables are woven with tencel. It is a sustainable fabric that is regenerated from wood cellulose and is similar in hand to rayon and bamboo. It has a beautiful drape with a silky feel and it is washable.

The design process starts on paper with the choice of colors, fibers and pattern. My products can range from a simple weave made with a luxurious fiber to the more detailed Colonial Overshot patterns. My goal has always been to create unique products that can be enjoyed in your everyday life.
